Pacman

After creating the day and night scene I decided to re-create the game pacman to find out how difficult it would be to create a game app. The three far images above represent the cherry scene in pacman, the ghosts who try to catch the player and pacman the player.

The image on the far left above is the background for the game I created this by using the rectangle tool to create the border and the line tool for the walls, while the dots and simply a circle coloured grey but with a layer style added so they appear 3D, after finding out that creating a game would be difficult along with not being able to think of a layout for my game that I was happy with I decided to create the Sport Scores Live app.

Day Night Scene

Before I started designing my app I first had to get familiar with Photoshop I did by creating a at and night scene the three images above show the process from the day scene to the night scene. I created this by firstly adding the landscape that is is the foreground to a layer then I added the day scene and the night scene onto separate layers finally using masking tools and I was able to add in the shape of a circle the the day scene onto the top half and the night scene onto the bottom so it gave the effect when spinning that the scene was changing from day to night.

Order of Screens for App

     

 

The images above show the order the screens will appear for a user. To recap the purpose of this app is for a user to search for a sport then either find live scores, or results from matches there is also a feature to view fixtures for future matches

Favourite old version v new version

The image on the top left shows what the favourite page originally looked like however after finding that it would be difficult and time consuming to add the stars to the “Live”, “Result” and “Fixtures” screens so the user can add teams and sports to their favourites, I came up with the idea  that the user can select from the favourite screen to either add or remove sports and teams. This is shown in the top right image. Below is the images of what appears when the user taps either the add sport or add team.

Settings Interaction

 

The Images above show how the user can change the brightness of the screen by using the slider

While the images below show how the use can select there country by using the drop down box, of of these interactions happen either when the use taps slides their finger across the slider, or when they tap the box next to country.

Search Page User Interaction

 

The image above on left shows what the Search page looks like when the user doesn’t interact with the dial, while image the other image shows what happens when the user interacts with the app (dial) this change happens when the user taps the middle of the dial to select a sport

Tennis Ball

This tennis ball that was used in the search page was created using a circle coloured yellow with the paint bucket and another circle coloured white then then another smaller yellow circle was placed on top of the white circle to create the effect of a ring.

Rugby Ball

This rugby ball that was used in the search page was created using a three ovals on separate the were then merged together for easier movement between layers, a layer style was also added to create a more realistic effect.

Cricket Ball

This cricket ball that was used in the search page was created using a circle coloured red with the paint bucket and the line tool.
